Jacob templeton

Director / Strength & Conditioning Coach

Jacob is the Founder and Director of JT Performance and an Ambassador for Nike Adelaide. A long career as a high-level athlete has lead Jacob to a passion for Strength & Conditioning and a pursuit to create a High-Level Training service which is accessible to anyone, of any experience level.

Jacob has had exposure to many different high-level programs locally, interstate and internationally. He has been involved/played in many Teams, Clubs and levels across both Basketball and Football, including a College Basketball Scholarship in America, multiple years in the SANFL for Central District, Woodville-West Torrens & Adelaide Crows, interstate for NT Thunder (NEAFL), Club Champion for Central District Basketball Club, multiple years in the Adelaide 36ers Academy, a preseason with the Adelaide 36ers, and training involvement with the Adelaide Crows (AFL).

Jacob has experience training a large quantity of individuals over his 10+ years in the industry, from beginners to professional athletes in the AFL, Premier League, Socceroos, A-League, WWE, NBL, Champions League, One Championship (MMA), SANFL, NBL1 & NCAA Collegiate System.

Tom Stevens

Strength & Conditioning Coach / Speed Development

Tom is an Athletic Performance Coach with coaching experience across different age groups and levels of competition. Tom is currently part of the High Performance Team at Port Adelaide Football Club. Prior to Port Adelaide, Tom was the High Performance Manager of the Glenelg FC, Strength & Conditioning Coach of the Glenelg FC under 18’s and under 16’s as well as gaining experience through an internship with Port Adelaide Football Club. Along with experience Tom holds his Bachelor degree in Human Movement, Level 2 ASCA accreditation and is completing a Masters in High Performance Sport. Toms training philosophies are designed to enhance sport performance and injury prevention.

Matt evans

Strength & Conditioning Coach

Matt is an experienced Strength & Conditioning Coach who has been involved in many high-level programs and is currently the High-Performance Manager of the Adelaide Thunderbirds. Prior to his current role, he previously worked for 3 years as a Physical Performance Coach at Tennis SA, Port Adelaide Football Club and Saint Peters College in various athletic development roles. Matt holds his Bachelor degree in Human Movement, Master of Exercise Science (Strength & Conditioning) and ASCA Level 2 Professional Coach Accreditation through the Australian Strength & Conditioning Association.

Lachie Hinds

High Performance / Conditioning Co-ordinator

Lachie is an Athletic Performance Coach with experience across several industries, age demographics and levels of competition. He is currently the National Men’s Physical Preparation Coach for Beach Volleyball. Prior to that he held roles as the Human Performance Optimisation Program Manager and Senior Strength & Conditioning Coach for the RAAF at RAAF Base Edinburgh and Strength & Power Coordinator for AusCycling in the lead up to the Tokyo Olympic Games. He currently holds a level 2 Strength & Conditioning Accreditation through the Australian Strength & Conditioning Association, and a Masters of Exercise Science (Strength & Conditioning). Lachie’s coaching and program management is based on a holistic physical preparation approach, utilising where possible, a wider multi-disciplinary team, based on a model that reflects the demands of the sport or role.

ANTON LIEU

Exercise Physiologist / Strength & Conditioning Coach

Anton is a dual accredited Exercise Physiologist and Exercise Scientist, finishing his Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science at the University of South Australia in 2018, and his Master of Clinical Exercise Physiologist at Charles Sturt University in 2022. Anton looks to combine the high performance aspects of Strength & Conditioning with the clinical and rehabilitation aspects of Exercise Physiology, to provide a unique and individualised service for everyone, no matter where they are in life. His clinical experience is vast and unique having worked with multiple pathologies including cardiovascular, metabolic, neurological, musculoskeletal, respiratory/pulmonary and mental health.

He is also a keen Strength Coach having previously trained and competed in Powerlifting, and uses his experience in his coaching today. Anton’s chosen sport is Gridiron, having played for the Adelaide University Gridiron Club and the SA Sharks Junior State Team in 2017 but has now moved to Track & Field with 100m Sprinting, with speed development and sprint mechanics being his main passion.

declan kennedy

Strength & Conditioning Coach

Declan is an experienced Strength & Conditioning Coach who previously held the role as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Norwood Football Club Women for 3 years and has assisted an as S&C Coach in the SANFL for both the Field and Boundary Umpires. He has also previously been an S&C Coach for the Scared Heart Women’s First 18 Team and is currently the S&C Coach for the Barossa District Football Club.

Declan holds a Bachelor degree in Human Movement and has coached a wide variety of individuals from athletes to everyday gym-goers looking to improve their health & fitness. He also coaches and assists with many Team Training sessions and Pre-Season programs with JT Performance.
